Your Body's Four Main Energy Systems
There are several systems that flow throughout our entire body. Blood is one; in fact, if blood-flow is cut off to a part of the body, that part starts to die. The lymphatic system is another. Its job is to take away toxins, impurities, and waste. One of the first things a doctor will feel for when you’re sick is swelling of your lymph nodes. Both of these examples are considered provable and well-accepted, but there’s another energy system that flows all through your body, one that we don’t yet have the instruments to fully understand. This is energy.
Every cell has its own energy generator called the mitochondria. As the mitochondria goes, the cell goes. Plenty of positive energy, and the cell literally can’t get sick. Plenty of fuel flowing in from the body, and the mitochondria does its job—the cell remains healthy. According to Dr. Bruce Lipton, ALL illness and disease is the result of diminished energy in a cell. So what can we do when that happens? Today, we’re going to take a look at how some of these energetic methods really function.
1. Acupuncture Points and Meridians
Without a doubt, this is the most mainstream of today’s topics. So what are they? It’s really pretty simple: the meridians are pathways where energy flows through your body. When everything is going well, it flows in one direction, unblocked. The acupuncture points are like junctions along the meridians, kind of like subway stops. If there’s a problem with the flow of energy, it can often be corrected by activating specific points to reset the meridian—this can both remove blockages and correct the direction of energy flow if it has become reversed.
2. Governing and Conception Vessels
Just about all of us have heard of Yin and Yang: opposite sides of the same coin, positive and negative working together. This is the idea behind the governing and conception vessels. You can envision these as twin rivers of energy running through your body—opposite and complementary. The conception vessel runs up the front of your body, right along the midline over the belly button, from the base of your torso to just under your nose. The governing vessel mirrors it, running up your back and over your head until it meets the conception vessel. These two rivers of energy are thought to govern different aspects of a person, and all meridians pass through them. If the energy flows unimpeded and positive, it fosters health, happiness, and all the rest, much like with meridians.
Chakras are a set of seven energy centers located all along the midline of the body. They start at the base of the torso and end on top of the head. Each chakra is though to relate to a different aspect of our being, from spirituality and social skills to mental focus, sexuality, and just about anything else you could think of. Each chakra is meant to be constantly open, and all of them are supposed to exist in harmony with each other. When they are, just like the meridians, it means health and happiness. On the other hand, a blocked chakra, or one that’s out of harmony, will cause problems.
4. The Healing Codes
My publishers tell me that the Healing Codes are the second largest energy healing modality in the world. Like the others on this list, the Healing Codes deals with an energy system that runs through every cell of your body, but in this case, it hinges on belief. Dr. Bruce Lipton, a biologist at Stanford Medical School, says that your beliefs control your thoughts, actions, behaviors, physiology, even your DNA! What’s the significance of that? Every belief you have comes from memories. In fact, you can think of beliefs as interpretations of your memories; and memories are made of energy. We know this because they’ve removed every individual part of the brain without removing the subject’s memories. You’ve probably heard of organ transplant recipients who experienced memories they received from their donor. This is because all of a person’s memories are contained in the energy field of every single cell. The Healing Codes is a tool for correcting that energy. It does this using hand positions and the energy given off by the human body in specific ways that activate natural healing mechanism that have always been present in each one of us—but undiscovered until recently. By using these mechanisms, false memories that cause stress and illness can be transformed into peaceful, healthy, loving memories which allow us to live joyful and fulfilling lives.
These four energy systems are among the most powerful of mainstream energy medicine, and each focuses on different aspects of body, mind, and spirit. No one of them is truly complete and capable of total healing across all the aspects of a human being. This is why I’ve always believed it is important to study all of the tools we have available, in order to hopefully move closer to a full, truly holistic state of health. I’d encourage all of you to read up on these methods, if you haven’t before. If you continue to follow my work, I think you’ll find they soon become very important.
Have a blessed, wonderful day!
