We are blessed to live in one of the most exciting times for natural medicine! Energy medicine and energy healing are becoming more and more mainstream, and I believe we have only begun to realize their full potential.

Energy medicine is based on a very simple theory. Everything in the body, every cell, thought and feeling, runs on energy. The Healing Codes I discovered in 2001 harness this human energy field for healing.

They have helped people worldwide heal physical disease, as well as anxiety and depression.

Today I want to share with you a list of my favorite energy and natural medicine books. I hope that these will help broaden your outlook, as well as educate you, on the incredible fields of energy healing and natural medicine.

The Biology of Belief, Bruce Lipton PhD

This groundbreaking work in the field of new biology will change how you think about thinking. Dr. Lipton and other leading-edge scientists have overseen research which has led to stunning new discoveries about the interaction between your mind and body that show that genes and DNA do not control our biology. DNA is actually controlled by signals from outside of the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our thoughts!

Stress Less, Don Colbert MD

Americans are anxious, overextended and "pressured,” more so than any other nation in the world. Colbert identifies stress as a potential killer. He examines scientific evidence; explores practical and proven theories; explains biblical principles; shares anecdotal stories; and challenges us all to make long-term lifestyle changes to overcome stress.

Stumbling on Happiness, Dan Gilbert PhD

Royal Society of Science Prize Winner and psychologist Daniel Gilbert shows how – and why – the majority of us have no idea how to make ourselves happy. This book combines psychology, neuroscience, economics and philosophy with Dr. Gilbert’s great sense of humor to describe how the human brain imagines its future – and how well (or poorly) it predicts what it will enjoy makes this a fun read.

How God Changes Your Brain, Andrew Newberg MD

God is good for you! Neuroscientist Andrew Newberg says that not only do prayer and spiritual practice reduce stress, but just 12 minutes of meditation per day may slow down the aging process. In other words, God is great—for your mental, physical and spiritual health! Newberg’s book is based on results of actual brain scans, as well as a wide-ranging survey of people from different spiritual backgrounds.

The Road Less Traveled, M. Scott Peck MD

New York Times bestseller The Road Less Traveled has been helping people discover the nature of loving relationships for years, helping them find serenity and satisfaction in life. This classic book will help you distinguish dependency from love, become a more sensitive parent and ultimately how to become your own true self. The opening line of his book, “Life is difficult,” is well known. This book is really a guide to spiritual growth, helping people recognize the difficult, sometimes painful process of change toward a higher level of self-understanding.

Healing and the Mind, Bill Moyers

This monumental best-seller changed the way Americans think about sickness and the modern medical system. With almost half a million copies in print, it is the most widely read and influential book of its kind.Bill Moyers explores the new mind/body medicine in this book, a companion to his popular PBS TV series, through a series of fascinating interviews with experts and ordinary people.

The Perfect You: A Blueprint for Identify, Dr. Caroline Leaf

When God created the blueprint for the universe, you were already part of the plan! Science and scripture show you're a unique, brilliantly designed and intelligent individual who fills a role no one else can. According to Dr. Leaf, this means that the more “Perfect You you become, the more fulfilling and impactful your life will be, according to this book from Dr. Caroline Leaf. I love that she explores this concept from theological, philosophical and scientific angles and challenges you to apply these insights into daily life.

You Can Heal Your Life, Louise Hay

Louise Hay is an internationally known leader in the self-help field who cured herself after being diagnosed with cancer. Her key message is: "If we are willing to do the mental work, almost anything can be healed."

Timeless Healing, Herbert Benson MD

In this life-changing book, Dr. Herbert Benson draws on his 25 years of experience to reveal how affirming beliefs, particularly belief in a higher power, make an important contribution to our physical health. We are not simply nourished by meditation and prayer, but are, in essence, "wired for God." Combining the wisdom of modern medicine and of age-old faith. Dr. Benson shows how anyone can, with the aid of a caring physician or healer, use their beliefs and other self-care methods to heal over 60 percent of medical problems.

The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell

The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips and spreads like wildfire. Just as one single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu, so too can a small but precise effort catapult the popularity of a new product or trend. This widely acclaimed bestseller is an eye opener about the way ideas spread and is helping people rethink the way they sell products and share ideas.

The Honeymoon Effect, Bruce Lipton PhD

Dr. Bruce Lipton describes The Honeymoon Effect as a state of bliss, passion, energy and health resulting from a huge love. Your life is so beautiful that you can’t wait to get up to start a new day and you thank the Universe that you are alive. Imagine what it would be like if you could maintain the Honeymoon Effect throughout your whole life! Dr. Lipton describes how the Honeymoon Effect was not a chance event or a coincidence, but a personal creation, how we manifest the Honeymoon Effect and the reasons why we lose it.

These are just some of my favorite books about natural medicine and energy healing. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
